W7SAV - Steve Vermillion's First Drivable car.  1951 Chevy Woody,  I became known in the Hermiston area as "Woody" as a nic name and placed it on this car along with the Ace of Spades Death card..  1 week after putting card on the car my best friend, his sister along with my sister and I went swimming at McNary Dam Park in this car,  where my friends sister drowned....  Made me wonder.....

It had those add on narrow white sidewall stips,  remember them?  And Baby Moons....

( This is not the actual car but a rendition of the car and  and paint job as close as I could get it..)

W7SAV - Steve Vermillion's second Drivable car.  1953 Ford 2 door 6 cylinder...
I stole this car from my dad who bought it as a hunting car.  I drove it during hunting season and kept right on driving it..  I really think he bought it for me but told Mom it was for hunting...  Mom knew she had been lied to as Dad bought a 1951 Ford PU right after hunting season was over,  which allowed me to drive this rig....  He never officially gave it to me but he never asked for the keys back either....

Agian I had those add on narrow white sidewalls stips.    And Baby Moons of course....

(Again this is not the actual car but is the same, even the color....)

W7SAV - Steve Vermillion's  3rd and Favorite Car
Picture taken not to long after I bought this 1957 Ford Fairlane 500.  312 V8, 4 brl Holly.  Fordomatic 3 speed.  I was 17 at the time.  Working at a gas station in Stanfield, OR.

W7SAV Cont --- This is a rendering of what my car looked like after my boss at the gas station (Elton Frazier) got thru hoppin it up.  `New 312 Short block, added Police Intercepter Heads with polished ports, with oversize intake valves,  new 600 cfm Holly carb.  Over the counter headers with glass pack mufflers, dual exhaust.  Auto trans rebuilt with heavy duty  bands and clutches.     Straight  line floor shifter.  Crome wheels with Baby Moons, ya man.  Rear spring shackles flipped over to give it rake.

After I got a job at the Umatilla Army Depot, I had the apolstry redone in tuck/roll with this seat design, headliner/dash in gold, door & kick panels in tuck/roll theme of seats

W7SAV Cont - In about 1976 Helen and I bought a 1972 Mustang Spirit Just like this one. Ours only had a 250 ci 6cyl but the darn thing would do 110.  Sure was a lotta fun and I overhauled that engine 3 times over the course of ownership until we sold it in 1993.

W7SAV - My first FOREIGN CAR...  Nice little gas saver, wish I had it now.  Like an old Harley ya had to keep it tuned up.  Heater didn't work worth a darn.  I remember the wife and I driving it to work, about 25 miles in winter and the defrost not working...  The wife and I put this paint job on it, use to be a mousy grey color.  Got a lot of looks after the paint job..

N7MSH - Neal Chamberlain and his  55 merc in 67, 292 v2 carter 3sp on floor with modified od, black and white pleated (kind of a cheapo role & tuck) seats, baby moons and strieght 2 1/2 inch pipes.

N7MSH Cont. --  I later put a 312, 3-Stromberg 2b and hood scoop (black and white pic).

KC7RQF - Charlene
This is my Green Ford PU. I have owned it since Aug. 1983, 23 years I have put about 17,000 miles on it  I mostly just keep it in the garage !    It is the only Picture I could find on digital. When Spring comes I will get it out and take a few.

 Runs like new !

KC7RQF Continued - Here I am in my 1966 Caddy in about 1993.

AD7EZ - Chucks baby....

The years of 1962, 63, and early 64, I spent a lot of miles in a car just like this, a lot of good memorys of the days of fast cars, fast women, and living in the fast lane. These cars were capable of excess of 130 mph straight from the factory, they didn't corner all that well, and with drum brakes they didn't stop worth a darn either, matter of fact you learned not to touch the brakes unless you were doing less than 110 mph, or they could cause a swerve that could put you out of control.
Then in 1964 I got drafted, at the age of 22, and my life changed forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This car I bought in the year 2000, and it sat stored in a combine shed on a wheat ranch near Prosser, I just recently retired so have started to restore it.
It has a stock 370 ci 285HP engine with a 4 speed hydromatic transmission. I have a tripower manifold and carbs for it, which is correct for this model, however it will not do much for performance, just look cool, these cars performed well for their era.
