Well Helen and I have two dogs at present, when the kids were home we have had up to 15 dogs.  They were the  "can I keep him?"  or  "will you take him?"  kind of situations.  We and the kids have always enjoyed the personalities of the canine friends we have had the pleasure to have known.  We have had cats also and have enjoyed them as well but they don't really need people as they are a seclusive animal while dogs are naturally pack animals and welcome people into their world, cats tolerate us in theirs....

Any way, let me introduce you to:

My bud "Stud"                                                  Helens dog  "Jake"

Here is a money saver for ya.  If you been thinking of buying one of those
electric training collars for your dog, be advised the good ones are $100 and
up.  We bought a couple of them as they didn't last long.  You can see some on the
the dogs in the pictures below.  Either the wire antennas that are embedded in
the collars would break loose continually from the receiver or they failed to receive
the command from the controller.  (they don't receive as far as advertised)  So we got
tired of replacing expensive button batteries all the time and bought a cheap pair of
those FRS radios.  They come with rechargeable batteries.  Have a way longer range
have a call button that you can set up with different ring sounds and ya can give voice
commands,  we just taped one to a dog collar in a way that still allows it to be set into
the charging base.  And because the units have battery save function the units last
longer between charges.   They are working great and cost far less than $100.00...

Stud is a mix Border Collie while Jake is a mix Poodle,  and you would think Stud would chew up Jake for lunch but these pictures will prove Stud to be a Woosie.

And as you can see Jake keeps Stud inline with no problem,  Studs a Lover not a Fighter, hi hi.

And here are some pictures of their "Good Side"

Young friends meet and greet, an every morning routine.             A goat that snuck into the field.
Check out the buds on the apple tree and the little pink flowers in the goat picture.

This is Jakes "Tuff Dog" look.     No mean face here.

We will post more pixs as time goes by..
